Supplier Quality Responsible 1

I/ FONCTION OBJECTIVE

The supplier quality responsible guarantees that the products delivered by the suppliers meet the customer requirements. She/he ensurse that the products have been bought in a panel of qualified and reliable suppliers. She/he monitors the qualification of couple part number / supplier through the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP AS/EN9145).

II/ Activities 

SUPPORT SELECTION PHASE AND PREPARE SUPPLIER AWARD

• Participate in supplier selection process : Evaluate new suppliers, Provide quality data input for selection matrix
• Define with group team project the risk level of the couple part number / supplier 
• Define the list of APQP deliverables required from the supplier

MANAGE AND STATE QUALIFICATION OF COUPLE PART NUMBER / SUPPLIER

• Attend internal project meetings and supplier meetings regarding project development (KOM, gate review…)
• Agree and obtain with the supplier the APQP data delivery planning
• Coordinate the special process qualification performed by Latécoère technical quality
• Support the supplier on the APQP data expected
• Support the supplier on the quality tool used in the relationship with Latécoère
• Manage the quality and on time delivery of data requested to the supplier
• Provide on demand or report internally the delivery status of expected APQP data
• Approve the APQP quality gate PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) with the supplier
• Ensure at all time the supplier compliance against the Latécoère requirement

ENSURE PRODUCT MATURITY AT THE SUPPLIER 

• During and after qualification, until transfer to serial production, monitor and challenge the supplier non-conformity process 
• Perform audit on supplier site to ensure continuous customer requirement compliance

III/ RESPONSABILITIES AND SCOPE

The supplier quality responsible manages product development at one or multiple supplier. She/he handle various transversal missions related to product development within Latécoère group. She/he is in charge of following task for the supplier she/he is responsible of:

• Customer / End user quality requirements
• Product industrialization
• Non-quality event
• Risk analysis
• Non-quality cost
• Supplier subscription to Latécoère requirements
• Supplier account creation (supplier quality related)
• Provide access and support in using Latécoère quality tool

Techniques:

Bachelor’s degree in with minimum 10 years prior experience working in Supply Quality
APQP data knowledge (PFMEA, PFD, Control Plan, MSA, Process Capability studies, FAI, PPAP Approval)
Quality tool master (problem solving, risk analysis, control plan…)
Good product technical knowledge (mechanical, sheet metal, assembly, composite…)
Technical process knowledge (machining, forging…)
Special process knowledge
Aeronautic:
Drawing and bill of material analyse
Audit practice master
Project management master
Standard aeronautic practice (EN9100, NADCAP, standard & material qualification…)

She/he is also in charge to monitor the supplier on all quality aspect of the contract and to ensure that the supplier is compliant. In case of issue that might impact the program development, she/he directly report to its direct manager.
