Techniques:

  • Minimum Qualification as BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Aeronautical/Electrical engineering with 8 years’ experience and above
  • Preferred from wiring harness
  • Knowledge of Lean procedure like 5S, Kaizen, VSM, Gemba walks
  • Knowledge of MRP processes and rules
  • Experience in configuration management.
  • Green belt six sigma appreciated.

The Manager - Manufacturing Engineering is in charge of:

  • Responsible for industrialization of electrical wire harness products and technical support till FAI completion.
  • Management of the ME/Methods/NPI & OPEX(Lean) team for Latecoere India being part of the managing board
  • Conduct periodic reviews with the teams for KPIs responsible.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects for the plant which contribute to SQCDM objectives.

The main tasks of the Manager - Manufacturing Engineering are:

  • Setting up the Manufacturing process flow, conducting the FMEA and defining the Production layout for NPIs
  • Finding solutions for products manufacturing by identifying the tools and engineering documentation readiness during the FAI and serialize manufacturing phase.
  • Ensuring tools and documentation readiness for first manufacturing.
  • Assuring the consistency of the manufacturing dossier, tools, production documents and processes linked product manufacturing process.
  • Managing the configuration of product for different programs and ensuring the internal & external changes are identified & well implemented and incorporated in production plan.
  • Ensuring the optimization and improvement of the working methods, process and technical means to improve the productivity.
  • Suggests and implement new manufacturing process or alternate process according to internal or external requirements.
  • Reporting to his hierarchy the issues and dysfunctions encountered (and proposing the solutions foresees).
  • Ability to timely resolve the technical issue/queries during manufacturing process with internal team and with customer.
  • Drive Skill improvement plans at the organization level and ensuring autonomy in each function.
  • Address the critical topics in daily stand-up meeting with Top Management
  • Interacting with local and central teams for management of ME/OPEX activities
  • Manage the internal and external audits, designing the manufacturing process as per customer needs and ensure engineering processes are compliant with QMS standards.
  • Familiar with Aerospace QMS standards, ISO9001/AS9100 as a minimum

The main tasks of the Manager – OPEX are:

  • Supporting for root cause analysis by A3/8D methodology for recurring/Critical issues
  • Ensuring good relationship with customers and contribute to customer satisfaction.
  • Estimation of Workload for the team and ensuring effective utilization of resources
  • Managing the technical skills matrix and ensuring backup presence for critical activities
  • Manage the Hiring of new resources for ME/OPEX functions.
  • Respecting the internals rules (comportment, security and safety rules).
  • Optimization of production line ensuring less movement for operator and good ergonomics
  • Piloting the Lean activities like 5S, Kaizen, VSM, Gemba walks
  • Driving long term improvements (Hoshin Kanri projects) by aligning with group strategic objectives
  • Coordinate with Cross functional teams and set up savings plan against budget
  • Drive and launch the KAIZEN/ activities to improve the productivity of manufacturing process by reducing the manufacturing wastages.
